| Tim served on the USS Carl Vinson as an Aerographer's Mate. The Vinson is an aircraft carrier with home port in Bremerton, WA. Tim was on the Vinson in the Persian Gulf when the Sept. 11th attacks on the U.S. took place. The Vinson began launching attacks on Afghanistan on Oct. 7 and was the first ship to take up station in the Arabian Sea and the first to launch attacks on Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedeom. The Vinson spent 73 days in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Tim also served on the Vinson with port calls in Hawaii, Guam, Thailand, and Australia. |
